This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for WriterCaroline.com. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website. It will notify you of the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

I am the sole owner of the information collected on this site. I only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give me via email or other direct contact from you. I will not sell or rent this information to anyone. (I also am a busy mom of toddlers with zero interest in being sketchy and no clue about how to be sketchy.)

I will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted me. I will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to send requested emails or ship an order.

If you sign up to receive our emails or purchase anything from the site, I will communicate with you using MailChimp. This allows me to communicate about your purchase and/or send you a newsletter once a month (and occasionally more if there is something interesting to share). You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button in every email. Your name and email address are stored securely in MailChimp. MailChimp does track if you open the email and if you click on links in the email. I only use this information to guide me in creating content that better serves you. I have no idea how to do anything evil with it.

Unless you ask me not to, I may contact you via email in the future to tell you about new written content, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from me at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting me at carolineevan@gmail.com or hitting “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the emails you receive.

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
  • Security 

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Because payments are done through Stripe or PayPal, I personally do not collect sensitive information (such as credit card data).

Orders 

I request information from you on the order form. To buy from me, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) to me and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date) to Stripe or PayPal. I do not have access to this billing information. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If I have trouble processing an order, I’ll use this information to contact you.

I use Stripe and PayPal to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond billing your order.

Cookies 

I use "cookies" on this site, which is less delicious than it sounds. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive to help me improve your access to my site and identify repeat visitors to my site. Cookies can also enable me to track and target the interests of my users to enhance the experience on my site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on my site. To be honest, I’m not too sure about how the cookies work, but you can disable them on your end if you wish.
