6 Podcast Episodes for the Hungry Soul

Anyone else feeling a little frazzled? A friend and I were commiserating recently that though it's such a luxury to have access to so much incredible content (especially the free stuff!), it's easy to get overwhelmed. Especially if you're a greedy little content gobbler like me. I WANT TO READ AND LISTEN TO EVERYTHING. Greed and gobbling are stressful.

That's why I love it when friends do the filtering for me by sharing their favorite Instagram posts, blog posts, articles, sermons, and podcast episodes. So this is me, being a friend, and sharing some of the favorite podcast episodes I've listened to in the past month. Each of these fed my soul in their own way, and I'm hoping they'll do the same for you.

Would love to know if YOU have any favorites! If you do, please share. Podcasts are just about the only thing that gets me through laundry and dishes, and if I don't have great stuff to listen to, I may ignore both piles forever. Then my family will hate me, and I'm sure you don't want that.

Happy listening!

Mom Struggling Well: Alex Hoover

Alex Hoover blew me away with her insights, and I'll think you'll leave this convo with lots to chew on. I particularly loved her thoughts on how self care is not actually the same thing as rest. Alex, be my friend? Please?

The Big Boo Cast: Dave Barnes

First of all, if you have not binge-watched Dave Barnes videos on Instagram, do so immediately. Every time I do this, I end up weak with laughter and crying actual hysterical tears. He's hilarious and on this episode, he shares incredible, godly wisdom for creatives that you do NOT want to miss.

That Sounds Fun with Annie F. Downs: John Mark Comer

On this episode, John Mark Comer shares some beautiful, practical insight on Sabbath rest. I have been hungry for this kind of information, and I am eagerly integrating his ideas into my life!

Journeywomen with Hunter Beless: Brad Evangelista

I paused this episode multiple times to take notes! Brad Evangelista shares wisdom about spiritual disciplines and does it with tremendous grace. You'll come away eager to pursue God through the spiritual disciplines—not because you have to, but because you get to.

The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey: Alisa Keaton

Alisa Keaton's story and gospel-centered approach to fitness is a healing agent our culture desperately needs. If you have ever suffered under shame in regard to physical fitness, this is a message of freedom that will ease your soul.

For the Love with Jen Hatmaker: Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend

Cloud and Townsend's biblical understanding of healthy boundaries is a true gift. This episode came out during the Christmas season (I listened to it a little late!), but I have no doubt that their practical wisdom will be tremendously helpful no matter the season (and it'll probably inspire you to buy their books).
